I made a purchase online and received a conformation email and then an email came in telling me my purchase was suspended do to Credit Card Company.
So I call Credit Card Company and was told charge authorization was on my card and there was no issues with card or purchase. So I then called toy r us customer service and was told that my credit was only good for part of the payment of purchase and I had used my card beyond its limits. Customer assistant was rude and implied that I was trying to use a card that I knew was no good.
So I then called Credit Card Company back and they were kind enough to conference call us back to toys r us customer service.
Card Company informed them that I had plenty of credit and that there charge was active on my card.
They then claimed that billing info was incorrect but we all verified billing info was correct.
So I then asked why my purchase was on suspension and was told they don%u2019t know.
So I asked that we cancel this purchase and my credit card asked for some info so they could release the authorization.
After being put on hold they told both me and my card company they could release such info and the hold on my card could not be removed for up to ten days.
I%u2019m not concerned with a hold on my card as I have plenty of limit left on the card but considering the screw up on toys r us I worry they%u2019ll charge me anyway.
What a mess.
I do need to say kudos to my card company in this and they even tried to point out that this has been a problem with other customers and suggested that someone look at their system.
