Extended warranty on Kurio 7" Tablet - Kurio

I purchased the Buyer protection plan after being assured that it would cover any issue related to the product for a period of 24 months. I have kept my receipt , ALL original packaging my protection plan brochure- everything including the box. I called the toll free number and was told to call the manufacturer. They cannot help me as its covered by the manufacturer for the first year. I told them that when I purchased it I asked that specific question. The Toys R us employee was adamant that it would be replaced with a gift card and nearly everything was covered by this warranty after the 45 day refund from the store with receipt ended. Feeling confident that the warranty would cover any issue that may arise- I paid an additional $34.99 for this "protection". This warranty is completely worthless and a complete waste of money. What bothers me most though is Toys R Us is lying to their customers. BTW- I wanted to exchange this due to an issue with the product freezing up and an issue with a foreign game on the screen that we can't get out of. Please do not purchase this tablet. Go with any other tablet before wasting your money on this piece of garbage.

This is so true. I wish I had known before I had bought it as well and I got our two from walmart. I can't believe it cost so much and is so crappy. They should just get rid of them ALL!! Please do research before buying products because you never know what your going to get

I bought 3 of these for my boys from toys r us in kingston mass for Christmas. 2 broke after a week and because I bought the extended plan, they let me exchange them. Then again 2 broke except they said the 30 days were up and id have to contact the manufacturer. My problem is when I got the 2 new ones I was asked for my receipt but I was never given one because the lady told me she was out of paper and asked me for an email address to send it too, so I did. Soo..when I went back for the exchange and told them I didnt have a reciept printed out. Theylooked it up in the computer, had a manager sign it off as "lost receipt" because she said its easier. Then I never got any paperwork on the new phones. I just signed something and left. So now, These 2 broken phones are not the ones with the warrenty I paid for so I dont know what to do??!!! Very unhappy and my poor kids are having to share one.
