Awful Babies R Us Registry Experience - Registry and Customer Service (or lack there of)


I could not EVER in my right mind recommend registering with Babies R Us to anyone, not just my friends. Babies R Us/ Toys R Us has absolutely no idea what the concept of registry means.

I noticed that the items I had registered for kept changing quantities by themselves to very ridiculous magnitudes (4 car seats?). I kept logging in almost every day only to find that this company simply cannot keep their database in tact and had to keep fixing the quantities I wanted for each item.

On top of that, items never got updated when people purchased them for my baby shower.

I called "Customer Service" or in fact Customer Dis-Service to inquire about the problems I was experiencing and to ask that this be corrected. I was first asked to describe each item that was NOT updated and when I refused (since I had to spend countless hours on the phone with them to do that since I had just had my baby shower), I was assured that my registry would be updated within 24 hours.

Needless to say, my registry never got updated and I had to manually check on items I had already received. I can do that without having to register anywhere - make a list and put check marks on it! Why does anyone need a registry for that then?

The other problem was that people were purchasing duplicate items off the registry since it never got updated. I addressed my concern with the representative who showed no interest in doing anything about it.

Pathetic company with pathetic and careless employees. I would NEVER recommend them.
